Myo Component Selection Criteria is a 1 hour on-line course provided via webinar. It was created to provide a comparison between the major categories and types of ottobock myo electric components and systems. The target audience is certified prosthetists with a desire to review components functions and features, and recommended applications.

Objectives

After successfully completing this training, attendees will be able to:

• Gain basic knowledge on the various myo electric components and systems available from Ottobock; as well achieve an understanding of their differences.

• This will provide a framework for determining candidacy for various components and systems.

Instructor

Tim Shride, CPO

Tim is an ABC Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist. He joined Ottobock Professional and Clinical Services as a Clinical Specialist in 2009. His responsibilities include presenting introductory and advanced courses on upper limb prosthetic technology, and developing educational materials. As a Clinical Specialist for Ottobock, he has presented locally, nationally and internationally. Prior to joining Ottobock, he was in clinical practice in New England and the Pacific Northwest for 8 years. He is a graduate of the University of Washington with a BS in Prosthetics and Orthotics and a BA in Business Administration.
